TIME AND SPACE

The steps you dance are strange,
You and your recent Ex.
Patterned choreography,
A nervous throbbing itch.

Never quite together,
Not in but not quite out.
Interlopers each you are,
Pensive, both in doubt.

Each singing into the night,
Your solo symphonies.
Silhouetes on moonlight,
But just from memory.

Tangled in a lonely web,
Anchored at the heart.
Trapped in time together,
But locked in space apart.
