CAT AT BAT

Two old men and one old cat,
Watched baseball on TV.
They asked the cat, “what inning?”
“I’ve not a clue,” said he.

The three sat there in silence,
Transfixed upon the game.
Hey, tell me cat, what is the score?
Cats answer was the same.

Then tell me cat what is the count,
How many men on base?
The cat said that he didn’t know,
And rubbed his whiskered face.

One man asked the other,
Just why is this cat here?
Because, his buddy answered,
He always brings the beer.
